An Intimate Winter Wedding at the Four Seasons Resort in Vail, Colorado

Jennifer Mann (40 and a pharmacist) and Scott Miller (37 and a retired professional Saddle Bronc Rider and business owner) met at a mutual friend’s wedding. They exchanged numbers, but Jennifer didn’t think anything of it because she lived in Santa Barbara and he lived in Texas. But, he won her over when he drove from Texas to California just to take her to dinner. “He relentlessly pursued me, and after only three months of dating he proposed while dining at Wolfgang Puck's Five Sixty in the Dallas skyline ball,” Jennifer says. “To my surprise I, without a hesitation, said, ‘Yes!’” After being engagement for three weeks, the couple tied the knot at the Four Seasons in Vail, Colorado. “We had originally planned for a three-month engagement,” Jennifer says. “We visited Vail in the summer, and I loved the quaint and charming town and thought it would be a beautiful destination wedding location. January was high ski season, with high prices and large crowds. After speaking with my coordinator, Emily Campbell, she assured me that we could pull of this wedding in just three weeks where prices would be better and crowds lower. Best decision I ever made—other than marrying my husband, of course!” The couple exchanged vows on the roof overlooking snow-covered mountains before heading to the intimate reception just steps away. Inspired by their winter setting, they used shades of gray, white and sage for their color palette. They added rustic details (like a wooden table runner) to complete the look. At the end of the night, they enjoyed a two-tier white fondant cake by the Four Seasons and dancing to A Great Time DJ.
