An Intimate Wedding on a Private Property in Steamboat Springs, Colorado

All Leanne and Scott really needed for their wedding was their two families and their dog. Even though more than a few things went wrong during their Steamboat Springs nuptials, the couple didn't let that get them down. "We rented a big house that our families and we stayed in for the weekend. The plan was to take the gondola up and get married on top of the mountain," Leanne says. "However, if there is one thing that can throw you for a loop in Colorado, it's the weather. It happened to be flood week in September and the rain and lighting did not allow for that to happen. So we opted for Plan B and had our small ceremony on the deck at the house. It worked out perfectly." The two then rented the deck and upstairs dining area at local restaurant, Sweetwater Grill, to keep the party going. Leanne emphasizes that the day was about their love for each other as a couple and their mutual love for Colorado, so the mountain scenery was paramount.
