Daria Vojcic (28) and Aaron Tober (28) started dating during their senior year of college. About five years later, Aaron proposed. The couple had been living together for about a month when they went for a walk by Fairmount Park and Waterworks in Philadelphia. After asking a passerby to take their picture, he brought out the ring. Eight months later, Daria and Aaron had an intimate celebration at the Inn at Little Washington. “I love darker themed wedding flowers, like deep purples and reds,” says Daria. "Since it was a spring wedding, I knew I wanted to include dark purple in the bouquets." The couple used simple white and purple decor to accent their wedding. Two large arrangements in vintage-style vases stood at the top of the couple’s outdoor ceremony aisle as 22 chiavari chairs were set in three rows. Daria and Aaron’s wedding overlooked the Blue Ridge Mountain foothills, letting nature serve as their main decor. Lavender was also used throughout the day. “My family and I are from the Balkans and along the Adriatic coast where there is a lot of lavender,” says Daria. Lavender was cascaded down the aisle as well as used in the couple’s centerpieces. After the ceremony, all moved to a nearby cottage for their cocktail hour and reception. The couple served their friends and family members multiple courses before treating them to miniature rhubarb cobbler, limoncello pudding cake, strawberry ice cream and their wedding cake. Daria and Aaron enjoyed a night of drinks, dancing and spontaneous karaoke numbers with their guests.

Complementing her scalloped lace wedding dress, Daria carried her grandmother’s simple white purse with a similar design.
Daria had her hair styled in an elegant updo. It was accented with a silver floral headpiece from The Red Magnolia.
Daria chose a sleeveless Val Stefani Couture wedding dress with a tiered scalloped lace design. She paired the dress with an elegant updo and silver headband.
Daria and Aaron’s First Kiss
The couple’s guests threw lavender, in honor of Daria’s heritage, as they walked back down the aisle, she says.
Daria and her bridesmaid carried mixed flower bouquets in purple and white hues. Each included a lush arrangement of garden roses, peonies, orchids, freesias, lilac, lisianthus, hydrangea, rosemary and sage.
Daria’s bouquet was wrapped with satin ribbon and had two small charms pinned to the front for a whimsical touch.
Daria’s bridesmaid wore a floor-length sleeveless purple dress. The woman that served as her flower girl wore a fun floral printed gray dress with a ruffle detail on the sleeves.

The couple decorated their cottage reception with dark chiavari chairs, white china, tea light candles as well as low white and lavender accented centerpieces. The centerpieces included hydrangeas, stock flowers, lisianthus, sweet peas, peonies, lilac, freesia, herbs, magnolia and eucalyptus, says Daria.
Along with three other desserts, Daria and Aaron served a three-tier Grand Marnier vanilla wedding cake with Tahitian vanilla bean mousse and raspberries. Cascading lavender and dahlias were placed on each tier.
