An Intimate Wedding at the Inn at Little Washington in Washington, Virginia

Daria Vojcic (28) and Aaron Tober (28) started dating during their senior year of college. About five years later, Aaron proposed. The couple had been living together for about a month when they went for a walk by Fairmount Park and Waterworks in Philadelphia. After asking a passerby to take their picture, he brought out the ring. Eight months later, Daria and Aaron had an intimate celebration at the Inn at Little Washington. “I love darker themed wedding flowers, like deep purples and reds,” says Daria. "Since it was a spring wedding, I knew I wanted to include dark purple in the bouquets." The couple used simple white and purple decor to accent their wedding. Two large arrangements in vintage-style vases stood at the top of the couple’s outdoor ceremony aisle as 22 chiavari chairs were set in three rows. Daria and Aaron’s wedding overlooked the Blue Ridge Mountain foothills, letting nature serve as their main decor. Lavender was also used throughout the day. “My family and I are from the Balkans and along the Adriatic coast where there is a lot of lavender,” says Daria. Lavender was cascaded down the aisle as well as used in the couple’s centerpieces. After the ceremony, all moved to a nearby cottage for their cocktail hour and reception. The couple served their friends and family members multiple courses before treating them to miniature rhubarb cobbler, limoncello pudding cake, strawberry ice cream and their wedding cake. Daria and Aaron enjoyed a night of drinks, dancing and spontaneous karaoke numbers with their guests.
