An Intimate Wedding at Ashton's Bed and Breakfast in New Orleans, Louisiana
While some couples add color with florals and decor, Holly Wright (25 and a speech language pathologist) and Roman Rubinstein (30 and a consultant) took things a step further with her emerald Ralph Lauren wedding dress, and it was stunning! Her dress stood out against the couple’s simple black chairs at the ceremony and added a personal touch to the day. “My grandmother Eva wore a green pantsuit for her wedding, so green is somewhat of a tradition,” says Holly. Heirloom Collective was there to capture each moment of their winter wedding, from the backyard ceremony at Ashton's Bed and Breakfast to their champagne toast. Since Christmas Eve was the next day, Holly and Roman used bright red flowers for accents. She placed three red roses in her updo hairstyle and carried a classic bouquet of the same flowers. Getting into the holiday spirit, two of their guests wore holly boutonnieres. Red and white roses, baby’s breath and red cacti also surrounded the champagne bucket for an added pop of color. After the wedding, Holly, Roman their seven guests went to dinner at a local restaurant. For future couples, Holly shares a tip: “Just because most people have a huge, expensive wedding doesn't mean that's the only way to do it. One day, we want to celebrate in a big way as well, but doing something really intimate ended up making the day more about us than about everyone else.”
