An Intimate, Traditional Wedding at Glen Gordon Manor in Huntly, Virginia
Kristen Flory (30 and a division administrator) and Matthew Huddleston (40 and a bugler in the US army) were both hesitant to reach out to one another when they met on eHarmony. They both thought their age gap of ten years would be difficult to overcome in a relationship. Luckily, they both gave it a shot anyway, and ten months later they were engaged. Since Matt has a busy schedule in the army, the couple had the option of waiting a while before getting married or getting married the next month. They chose the latter and planned a beautiful, intimate wedding—in under 30 days! Their traditional wedding took place at Glen Gordon Manor in Huntly, Virginia, which had a spectacular view of the Shenandoah mountains for their outdoor ceremony and a cozy, wood paneled lodge for their reception. Kristen and Matt chose red, navy and ivory for their color palette to complement Matt's army uniform, which he wore on his wedding day. Kristen looked beautiful in an A-line, taffeta wedding gown with a red sash and a headband from her mother's veil, and she carried a red bouquet of gerbera daisies and roses. Red roses covered the arch under which Kristen and Matt were married, and their reception had simple centerpieces of white roses, lilies and baby's breath on ivory linen. The couple's intimate wedding was both traditional and casual, with just the right amount of country flair.
