An Intimate Summer Wedding at Meadow Event Park in Doswell, Virginia

Ashlee McDearmon (27 and a program coordinator) and Jon Ewing (30 and a mechanic) had an intimate, vintage-inspired wedding with only their nearest and dearest in attendance. "We kept our wedding small, and we enjoyed being able to spend quality time with all our guests," Ashlee says. The couple chose Meadow Event Park as their venue because of its vintage details, like the wooden arches and marble floors. They had their ceremony outdoors on the lawn of the mansion, and the reception took place in the mansion's ballroom. For their summer wedding, Ashlee and Jon chose a bright color palette of mint and pink. They were married under a vintage-style wedding arch decorated with white draping and DIY fabric flowers in mint and ivory. Ashlee's bridesmaid dressed in mint lace and carried and pink and ivory rose bouquet while Jon and his groomsman wore gray vests with mint ties and pink rose boutonnieres. Centerpieces at the reception were made up of flower arrangements that echoed the bouquets and boutonnieres, with pink and ivory roses in mint vases. For dessert, Ashlee and Jon served their guests a pretty ombre wedding cake in mint and ivory that was decorated with piped rosettes and a glittery gold "love" cake topper.
