An Intimate, Rustic Elopement at Fadó Irish Pub in Denver, Colorado

Courtney Convry (25 and a registered nurse) and Taeo Hong’s (29 and a Comcast technician) intimate mountaintop wedding in Boulder was followed by a reception at an Irish pub in downtown Denver.

Pulling the wedding together in just three months, the couple incorporated both breathtaking views and the bustling city, so guests—many of whom had never been to Colorado—could experience all the state has to offer.

A flowy gown and a flower crown offered the boho vibe the bride wanted to keep her look simple, natural and fit the feel of the wedding.

“The amphitheater was everything we wanted, with incredible views and rustic simplicity,” Courtney says.

Courtney and Taeo rented two party buses to transport their 50 guests from Boulder to Denver—a cocktail hour on wheels, complete with an assortment of craft beers and ciders. The party continued at the pub with mini shepherd’s pies, fish and chips, beef and chicken sliders, and mini sweet pies.

The couple took advantage of the location by taking pictures at historic Union Station.
