An Intimate, Relaxed Wedding at San Francisco City Hall in San Francisco, California
The architectural style of San Francisco City Hall created an elegant ambience for this intimate elopement kept simple. Will Chantaduly (40 and an optometrist) and Martin Kamen (37 and a consultant) had just flown halfway around the world to adopt a baby, and they felt no need to have an extravagant wedding. Since their families were traveling from the east coast, the couple made it known the occasion was informal within a color palette of blue and white, and to keep the idea of a “cool California summer” theme in mind. Blue Cole Haan wing-tip oxford shoes was the first fashion item the couple found for their wedding day attire, which started to shape the rest of the casual outfit, all photographed by Loic Photo. Will ended up choosing a dark blue suit with a blue, black and white plaid bow tie for Will while Martin wore a similar suit in a lighter blue hue with a checkered blue and white bow tie. The couple had purchased matching Bulgari Platinum wedding bands for the ceremony, and our favorite moment was when it came time for the exchange. “The two of us had so many things on our minds while getting ready that we forgot our wedding rings,” Will says. “When it came time to exchange them, we looked at each other in awe, speechless, and then started to laugh hysterically. If we would share any advice with other couples planning their weddings, William suggested that they not make their day too complicated. Even a small wedding is a day to remember.”
