An Intimate Mountain Wedding at Mountain Goat Lodge in Salida, Colorado

Amanda Vargo (33 and a speech language pathologist) and Jordan Seligman (28 and works in telecommunications) met on Match.com. Jordan proposed while they were on vacation in San Francisco. “I said, ‘Yes,’” Amanda says. “And we both laughed and cried.” Not wanting to get caught up in the expensive details, the couple decided to elope to Salida, Colorado, for an intimate wedding with just the two of them. Inspired by the natural beauty of the Monarch Pass mountains, they kept everything natural. Amanda wore a simple white dress from Free People and they picked wildflowers off the side of the road for the floral arrangements. At the ceremony, they did a wine box ceremony tradition where they put a bottle of wine, their vows and love letters into a box together with a promise to not open it again until their 10-year anniversary. Afterwards, they shared a vegan cupcake and drinks for the reception and danced to music playing from their car.
