Danielle Roth (25, Business Development Manager) met Jacob Serban (30, Office Manager) at a friend’s surprise birthday party in 2009, but the two were dating other people. After the occasional run in at mutual friends’ parties and barbeques, the two got to talking. It wasn’t until much later on that Danielle learned Jacob developed feelings for her. Two years after their initial meeting, the two found themselves single. Fast-forward eight months, the two saw each other at a party and hit it off. The next morning, Danielle received an email from Jacob, asking her out to dinner at his favorite restaurant. Within a month of their first official date, the two became inseparable. They quickly realized their deep love one for one another and talked about the idea of marriage. Quickly overwhelmed by the thought of a large, inclusive wedding, the two chose to elope. Realizing a private ceremony wasn’t for them, Danielle and Jacob planned an intimate ceremony and reception with 18 guests of honor including only their immediate family members and best friends. “We didn't tell anyone except our immediate family and best friends for about a month, and during that time we worked out the details of the location, date, guest list, and how we would share the news with everyone else,” says Danielle. On October 4, 2014 Danielle and Jacob said ‘I do’ at the conclusion of the outdoor ceremony, officiated by the bride’s father. The late afternoon nuptials took place during the “golden hour,” the time just before sundown. A relaxed sit down dinner held inside the Mountain Comfort Bed & Breakfast immediately followed the intimate ceremony. “Many of us were also under the weather due to the altitude (things to consider when having a wedding at 14,000 feet), so we all enjoyed hanging out together and dancing occasionally,” says Danielle.

Danielle and Jacob opted for a First Look, where Jacob could fully appreciate Danielle's bridal look.
Danielle wore a one-shoulder Grecian-style gown from David's Bridal. Jacob wore a gray pinstripe suit with a lavender tie from Louis Purple.
