An Intimate Fuchsia Wedding at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples in Naples, Florida

Elizabeth King (31) and Tony Bilden (31) met through eHarmony and became engaged at the top of Gateway Arch in St. Louis during Fourth of July weekend. Over the next 14 months, they planned an intimate wedding accented in fuchsia and black. With Elizabeth’s childhood dream of a beach wedding in mind, the couple chose The Ritz Carlton, Naples as their venue. Fuchsia delphiniums tied to white folding chairs lined the Tea Garden ceremony aisle, and pink, purple and white flower petals were scattered over a white runner. Elizabeth and Tony exchanged vows under a black metal wedding arch decorated with greenery, pink orchids, pink roses, pink hydrangeas, white orchids and burgundy calla lilies. The celebration continued with a sunset cocktail hour at the hotel as a live harpist played in the background. Soon after, the couple’s 21 guests entered the beach house reception, where gold chiavari chairs surrounded blush-linen-covered tables set with floating white and fuchsia orchid centerpieces and tealight candles. After dinner, Elizabeth and Tony treated their guests to a night of dancing, a three-tier black-and-white wedding cake topped with purple orchids and a fireworks display. For a personal touch, the couple also celebrated Elizabeth’s grandparent’s 60th wedding anniversary before all left the reception with a custom chocolate palm tree favor. For future couples, Elizabeth shares: “Be in the moment and enjoy each minute of the day!”
