An Intimate Elopement at Santa Barbara Courthouse in Santa Barbara, California

There's nothing more intimate than a private elopement, which was exactly what Alicia Murphy (39 and a voice-over artist) and Brianna Jeffries (36 and a teacher) were looking for when they got married outside at Santa Barbara Courthouse in Santa Barbara, California. The historic venue has a beautiful archway outside the Halls of Records, where Bycherry photography captured Alicia and Brianna surrounded by palm trees during their wedding ceremony. Brianna had a love for polka-dot patterns, so they went a nontraditional route and wore knee-length polka-dot dresses from City Chic—Alicia's being pink and white, while Brianna's was black and white. Alicia and Brianna covered their shoulders with light jean jackets that went with the casual, fun look for the day. Their daughter served as the ring bearer, carrying two silver wedding rings that Alicia and Brianna exchanged during the ceremony. Our favorite detail was the shoes they changed into for dinner afterward—black-and-white classic Converse sneakers that reflected their laid-back personalities and the theme of the day. "Sharing dinner, drinks and lots of laughs with friends at the end of the day says the most about us," the couple says. "We love to have a good time."
