An Intimate, Destination Wedding at Le Gallerie Villa in Soufriere, St. Lucia

Anna Wilson (29 and a physical therapist) and Jonathan Hight (30 and works for American Airlines) turned their love of travel into an intimate destination wedding, where the mountains, tropical florals and clear ocean view were the main decor. The couple started their day with an outdoor ceremony overlooking the Pitons Mountains from Le Gallerie Villa in Soufriere, St. Lucia. Anna walked toward the gazebo in a trumpet-style Maggie Sottero wedding dress that was picked especially for her at Formally Yours. "When I walked in, the sweet owner asked what I was looking for and said 'I have just the dress for you,' " Anna says. "She was spot-on." Her wedding dress was covered in ivory lace, as the short train cascaded over the ground in her procession. Its large keyhole back added a fun and sexy touch to the dress. After Anna and Jonathan exchange vows, the couple went inside for a simple white and pink reception designed by Awesome Caribbean Weddings. Large pink flamingo lilies were placed by the window as bright pink and white fabric flowers accented the table. Each of their 10 guests enjoyed a view of the island during dinner and ended the night by honoring loved ones who could not attend. "Jonathan and I and each of our family members who were present lit a sky lantern and watched it float toward heaven," Anna says.
