An Intimate Destination Wedding at Grand Palladium Resort & Spa in Riviera Maya, Mexico

Erin Branco (26 and a dietician) and Paulo Branco (29 and a facility manager) met at the pool in their apartment complex in Kelowna, British Columbia. Several years and apartments later, the couple went on a summer trip to Portugal to visit Paulo’s hometown and family. One rainy night, the couple went for a walk up a hill to look out at the small European village from under the arch of a chapel, which is where Paulo got down on one knee and asked Erin to marry him. They had an intimate destination wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico, at the Grand Palladium Resort & Spa. “We specifically chose this resort for its beautiful, bright open-air chapel,” says Erin. Since they opted not to get married on the beach, the couple went with a sophisticated style following their color palette of coral, white and turquoise to portray the vibrate ocean scenery in Mexico. The intimate reception took place at La Laguna Buffet Restaurant in the resort and included a special blue welcome drink, dinner and dancing. “We value spending time with friends and family, so the intimate nature of the reception and dancing to carefully curated music was a memorable experience,” says Erin.
