An Intimate, Colorful Vow Renewal at a Private Venue in Glen Allen, Virginia
Micah Farmer (21 and a nanny) and Brian's (20 and an EMT) vow renewal showcased bright colors and summertime whimsy in Glen Allen, Virginia. "The day was intimate and just for the two of us," Micah says. "The elements created for the shoot were fun, colorful and in a rustic location, which was right up our alley." Micah wore her original wedding gown, which featured a strapless neckline, beaded details and corset back. She carried a bouquet of speldekussing, hydrangeas, pink peonies, billy balls, tea roses and orchids during the vow renewal. The flower arrangements created by Flowers by Zoie perfectly fit the couple's citrus-inspired palette. We loved the bride's elegant bridal updo by Kaitlyn Morris Creates accessorized with pale pink tea roses. After the vow renewal, the couple enjoyed a small reception and photo shoot. For the reception table, Lettier Event Planning Studio accentuated the lush outdoor farm setting with white linens, gold chiavari chairs, coral napkins and coordinating gold-dust stationery. For a centerpiece, a large pedestal vase held a floral arrangement accented with smaller bud vases. For dessert, Micah and Brian celebrated with a citrus pie bar to complete their citrus theme. While we love all the bright florals and accents from the day, the coral-stripped altar canopy added an especially cheerful touch to the beautiful day. "The most wonderful part of this collaboration is that we had absolutely no idea about the magnitude of the styling for the shoot," Micah says. "We were blown away." The entire vow renewal was captured by Laura Matthews Photography, with more photos below.
