An Intimate Coffee-Themed Wedding at Stonecreek Golf Club in Phoenix, Arizona

Love was certainly brewing at Caitlin Allgood (21 and a first-grade teacher) and Adam Stearns’s (22 and a financial analyst) mid-December wedding in Phoenix, Arizona. The pair planned an elegant coffee-themed soiree at the Stonecreek Golf Club with a palette of soft blush, dusty rose and espresso hues and plenty of festive coffee touches. “Adam and I love coffee. A majority of our dates occur in coffee shops or at diners for breakfast,” Caitlin says. “Since this is such a love of ours, we wanted it to be the theme of our big day.” An outdoor ceremony on the golf course kicked off the festivities, with Caitlin and Adam saying “I do” against an expansive backdrop of vibrant green. “We spent months looking at venues that were an hour to three hours away from where we were living. Little did we know that this gem was hidden in our own backyard,” Caitlin says. To go along with the couple’s coffee theme, a brunch reception followed, where guests noshed on mouthwatering morning eats, like chicken and waffles, quiche and a decadent pancake bar with all the fixings. The reception opened up onto the patio, allowing guests to mix, mingle and enjoy the perfectly manicured grounds. Caitlin and Adam treated guests to a coffee bar and enlisted the help of Chad Trapeur at All-American DJ to kick the party into high gear. “We had a dance party at 11 a.m. in the morning—it was fantastic!” Caitlin says. “People told me we couldn’t have a dancing wedding that early in broad daylight, but we pulled it off thanks to All-American DJ.” Caitlin and her father wowed their family and friends—including Adam—with a choreographed dance. Before zipping off in a golf cart at the end of the night, the couple gave their guests tins of chocolate-covered coffee beans that read “Thanks a latte.” A tip from Caitlin and Adam: “One of our favorite aspects of our wedding was how small it was. We really knew everyone who was there, and they played a significant role in our lives. We were able to talk to everyone and thank them all for coming—while eating lots of bacon and drinking lots of coffee.” —Libby MacCarthy
