An Intimate, Classic Wedding at The Minikahda Club in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Tracy Dale (36 and a human resources director) and Joseph Baker (36 and an entrepreneur) were high school sweethearts and dated throughout their first year of college. Tracy and Joe admit they were very young and wanted to experience more of life, so they subsequently decided to part ways. They both married other people and each had two children. After some time, both Tracy and Joe got divorced from their first spouses and later reconnected with each other. After combining their families, Joe surprised Tracy with roses and a romantic proposal after a long day of work. Adding some humor, Joe gave Tracy a vase filled with gumball machine rings and told her to pick any ring she wanted. It took her a little while to find the perfect, white-gold ring she was hoping for. Tracy and Joe chose to have their outdoor wedding at The Minikahda Club in Minneapolis, Minnesota. "The classic style of the buildings and the intimate feeling of the space made it a perfect fit," Tracy says. The wedding's theme was "simple elegance" with dark purple accents. "I love the jewel tones of the fall season and felt the deep purple/plum color was sophisticated and classic," she says. Keeping with the elegant theme, Tracy wore a strapless A-line dress with vintage jewelry, while Joe wore a black, pin-striped suit with a purple tie. Their four boys acted as groomsmen and wore classic black tuxedos with gray vests and purple ties. "Our goal was to keep the wedding simple, intimate and unique," Tracy says. With a small guest list and classic styles, Tracy and Joe's wedding was perfect for them.
