An Intimate Bohemian Wedding at the Roche Harbor Resort in San Juan Islands, Washington

Niki Ang and Kelsie Davisson’s wedding embodied the laid-back vibe of summer with a waterfront setting and a color palette that paid tribute to the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

The couple exchanged vows in a quaint garden ceremony overlooking the bay, then celebrated with guests during an al fresco reception at the historic Roche Harbor Resort. “We wanted an intimate party of 50 people—not too much fluff or flair, just a beautiful celebration for our friends and family that would suit our personalities,” the couple says.

They kept the extras to a minimum, allowing the setting to speak for itself. To put a personal twist on the day, Niki and Kelsie used florals and photos of themselves as kids as décor during cocktail hour and incorporated DIY details such as the table numbers, card box and various small signs.

“Most of our design elements relied heavily on our florals. We wanted a lot of natural beauty incorporated into our overall look,” Niki says. Eucalyptus garlands ran the length of the tables, and fresh green vines adorned the dessert table.

Our favorite detail? Niki’s chic bespoke suit from Sharpe Suiting that she paired with nude pumps and a sleek updo. “We both looked fresh as hell,” she says.
