An Intimate Bohemian Wedding at Sands Hotel & Spa in Indian Wells, California

After Andrea Burns and Adam Farino got engaged, they didn't want to wait to say "I do," so they planned their wedding in two months. They chose a  small boutique hotel for an intimate ceremony and reception. "With a combination of Moroccan-inspired influence and a midcentury-modern vibe that's synonymous with the desert’s everlasting allure, the Sands Hotel & Spa is an exotic, luxurious and personalized take on hospitality," Andrea says. She wore a boho ivory and lace dress with a slit and long sleeves. She also carried a colorful bouquet of ranunculus, roses and wildflowers—all tied together with dusty-pink ribbon. Adam donned a custom-made light gray herringbone suit with a white button-up shirt and black tie. The ceremony took place in an outdoor area called the Olive Grove, where a pink building with green accents served as the backdrop. Candles lined the concrete aisle, pampas grass stood near the altar and guests sat on black folding chairs. "We had a wine unity ceremony before we read our vows," Andrea says. "We each poured wine into a glass and then drank from the glass three times. While this was happening, our officiants read about the significance behind the wine ceremony and uniting our two families." For the reception, everyone moved inside an eclectic restaurant with rectangular dining tables and framed photos on the walls. Andrea and Adam served individual single-tier cakes for their guests with classic vanilla, triple berry and red velvet flavors.
