An Intimate Beach Wedding at Waialua Beach in Oahu, Hawaii
Holly Gerrard (30, a registered nurse) and Casey Holder (30, a registered nurse) met while working as ER technicians at a hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. While they were working together, they were also attending nursing school where they became better friends. After they both graduated from nursing school, Holly and Casey started developing a deeper connection that eventually turned into a serious relationship. While they were dating, they both signed up to run a half marathon in St. Louis, Montana together, and two nights before the race, got engaged at a revolving restaurant overlooking downtown St. Louis. The couple decided to get married at the beach on the north shore of Oahu, Hawaii, where Holly and Casey had previously traveled to and fell in love with while they were enjoying the breathtaking sunset. It was one of their most memorable days together during that trip, and the couple decided it was where their ceremony would be held. Besides traditional Maile Ti leaves for the leis and Holly’s bouquet, no flowers were incorporated into the white and neutral colored decor. The couple only invited family members to their wedding, creating a simple and intimate setting that would truly make the day about their love for one another.
