Kelly Dean (26 and a marketing professional) from the US and Jonatan Dominguez (29 and a professor) from Spain were about to depart for their new home in London, England, so they wanted to bring elements of their cultures and international travels into their wedding. The day began with a heartfelt ceremony in the church where Kelly grew up, followed by a reception at the Biltmore Ballrooms in Atlanta, Georgia, which reflected Kelly’s Southern heritage—plus, it had plenty of dancing room. Kelly and Jonatan’s wedding invitation was a cross between US and Spanish passports and was written in English and Spanish. The seating chart took the form of an airline flight chart, and as a guest book, everyone signed a world map. Dining tables were named after Kelly and Jonatan’s favorite cities around the world, and there were American and Spanish flags at every table. Even the signature cocktails were thoughtful: Coca-Cola for Atlanta and sangria for Spain. Bella Flora Design even attached fresh roses to traditional Spanish fans for the bridesmaids to pair with their red dresses. The biggest surprise of the night? Kelly and Jonatan’s grand entrance: “When the “Espana Cani” pasodoble song came over the speakers, I don’t think anyone had suspected Jonatan to come out in a matador hat,” Kelly says. There are many fun parts of this wedding to love—check out the details below, beautifully captured by Janet Howard Studio.
