An Industrial-Chic Wedding at Mt. Washington Mill Dye House in Baltimore, Maryland

Claire Meehan and Barrett Starling's nuptials centered around modern and industrial touches. They introduced the celebration with a simple black-and-white stationery suite—and the neutral color palette carried over into the ceremony and reception. "We kept the décor simple because we wanted to focus on the people and having a good time," Claire says. "We also relied on flowers to give our wedding a pop of color and create an industrial-chic vibe." The ceremony took place in front of elegant white draping trimmed in black, and guests sat on wood cross-back chairs with bistro lighting overhead. A modern seating chart with white calligraphy led guests to their reception tables, arranged in an industrial space softened with string lights and white tablecloths. They dined on a "breakfast-for-dinner" menu that included chicken and waffles, as well as doughnuts for dessert. As "the stylish one in the relationship," Barrett wore a formal midnight-blue jacket. Claire kept it simple with a classic off-the-shoulder sheath dress and embellished veil. She changed into a long-sleeved sequined number for the reception.
Our favorite #MakeTradition moment: "There weren't any cultural or religious traditions that were a big part of our day, but we made sure to include our family members who could not be there in person, especially Barrett's father," Claire says. To honor him, they set up a remembrance chair in the first row of their ceremony seating.
