Karon Blandino (28, a Lawyer) and Steve Miller (30, a Banker) wanted their wedding to be like an elegant, indoor garden party. "I love the idea of a garden wedding...however, living in a unpredictably rainy city we did not want to risk having our wedding outdoors. Instead we sound out a venue with lots of windows and an elegant West Coast feel to bring the garden inside," Karon says. After a traditional, intimate ceremony at a small church in Port Moody (a suburb of Vancouver) the couple held their reception at the Westwood Plateau Gold and Country Club in Coquitlam, British Columbia. "Early on in the planning process I saw a gorgeous bouquet made with beautiful dahlias and succulents. This bouquet was the inspiration of our color palette of peach, purple, sage green and gold," Karon says. Dahlias and succulents were woven into all the floral decor, from the boutonnieres to the centerpieces.   A standout detail? "My wedding dress was very special as my wonderfully talented mom made it for me!" Karon says. Karon wore a mermaid gown with an Alencon lace bodice and layers of silk organza in the skirt. "In all, my mom used 40 meters of silk organza!" Karon says. Check out more photos by Barbara Rahal Photography below!

The groomsmen wore green succulent boutonnieres complemented by dusty miller.
Gold plates and flatware added a sophisticated touch to the all white linens at the reception table. A small potted succulent was placed on top of each plate for guests to take home as a favor.

Karon carried a gorgeous bouquet of white and coral dahlias, large green succulents and pastel pink ranunculuses.
Karon let her brides choose their own purple gown to match each bridesmaid's own sense of style.
The lush centerpiece arrangements had white hydrangeas pink dahlias, succulents and cream roses all displayed on a tall candelabra.
Karon baked the three white and gold wedding cakes for dessert herself! They were decorated with fresh succulents and sugar flowers.
