An Ethereal Vintage Chic Wedding at Winfield Inn in Kyle, Texas

Renee Gillespy (30 and a manager of community education) and Hugh Eden (27 and in banking) met through a mutual friend at a dinner and have been together from that night on. The Winfield Inn in Kyle, Texas served as the background to the fashion-forward commitment ceremony. “Our goal was to create a vintage, chic vibe that allowed our guests to enjoy the wonderful scenery the Winfield Inn had to offer,” says Renee. Their style was achieved with a color palette of pale pink, white, green and gold. “We wanted our day to incorporate some of the traditions of a wedding and fuse that with the more contemporary concepts of a commitment ceremony,” says Renee. The ceremony was a testimony to the values the couple shares: Renee and Hugh wrote their entire ceremony, including their vows. The cocktail hour included music provided by Mel Davis & The Blues Specialists. As guests were ushered into the outdoor reception area they were greeted with a glass of prosecco to toast the couple and listen to speeches. They enjoyed an outdoor photo booth and dancing to a variety of tunes DJ’ed by Renee’s brother. Renee and Hugh’s commitment ceremony was the celebration of their dreams. “At the moment when we joined hands, I knew this was the best decision I had ever made,” says Renee.
