An English Garden-Inspired Wedding at the Ashford Estate in Allentown, New Jersey
Amanda Pasquarella (29 and a beverage sales representative) and Eric Cannon’s (33 and a senior investment officer in commercial real estate) gorgeous garden wedding took their refined country cottage details to a new level. The couple worked with Mary Bradley Events to pair whimsical watercolor and rustic wooden accents with glamorous champagne linens, pearl table numbers and towering centerpieces. Valley Green Flowers and Gifts created all the lush floral arrangements that added the ethereal garden feel to the day. “Our flowers were inspired by an english country garden,” Amanda says. “We really wanted them to look like they were cut fresh from a country garden in England.” The gorgeous garden arrangements perfectly complemented the Ashford Estate in Allentown, New Jersey. “We knew we wanted a country wedding,” Amanda says. “The struggle was finding a place that matched our vision and could hold the number of guests we were planning on having. From the minute we drove up the tree-lined driveway, pulled up to the mansion and stepped foot in the ballroom, there was no doubt that this magnificent place fit our vision. It was truly a country estate wedding that took our breath away.” One of the best parts was the bird theme that was subtly placed throughout the cornflower blue, champagne and ivory decor. “Both Eric and I love animals and nature,” Amanda says. “We decided to have a bird theme. We had various birdbaths, birdhouses and bird statues throughout the cocktail hour and even had a wooden tree-inspired birdhouse decorated by our florist. We had multiple birdcages with flowers and eggs that served as centerpieces for the cocktail-hour tables. And our guest favors were little birdseed hearts that guests could hang at their home.” See our favorite details, beautifully captured by Jessica Morrisy Photography, below.
