An Enchanted Yacht Club Wedding on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

High school sweethearts Michelle Garrigan (32 and a higher education administrator) and Andrew Durant (31 and a writer) parted ways before graduating, but the two reconnected after college. The entire week leading up to their anniversary, Andrew had been making a big deal about a surprise dinner that Friday night, so Michelle's suspicions were up. "On Thursday, our actual anniversary, we were at home watching a movie, and when I left the room for a minute, I came back to our song playing," says Michelle. "We danced, he dropped to one knee, and I cried -- it was perfectly us, stretchy pants and all!" After Michelle's parents retired to Hilton Head Island, she knew the yacht club in their new neighborhood would be the perfect spot to host their waterfront nuptials. Instead of nautical decor for their harbor wedding, Michelle and Andrew worked to achieve a garden vibe, and an abundance of colorful flowers decorated the outdoor ceremony. Adorning their reception space with everything from a lush moss escort card display to vibrant centerpieces filled with colorful fresh flowers, the couple created an enchanted garden ambience. "The whole celebration was small, personal, intimate and filled with people we love," says Michelle. "I really wanted our guests to know how much I appreciated them traveling for our day!"
