An Enchanted Garden-Inspired Wedding at Dunaway Gardens in Newnan, Georgia

Kelli Rodrigez (29 and a bartender) was working at the bar where Chris Murphy (28 and an engineer) and his baseball team were having a pizza party. A few of their mutual friends encouraged the pair to meet and Chris became a regular at the restaurant until he worked up the courage to ask Kelli out. Their relationship flourished and Chris proposed to Kelli with a custom-designed engagement ring set around his grandmother's diamond during a hike in the Smoky Mountains. "The trail came to an end at a gorgeous view of Rufus Morgan Falls," says Kelli. "There, with no one around, Chris got down on one knee, said my full name, and asked me to be his wife." For their fall wedding, the couple planned a dreamy wedding at Dunaway Gardens in Newnan, Georgia. This botanical garden was an outdoor theatre in the 1920s before becoming overgrown and transformed into a whimsical event space. "We chose—well let's be honest, Chris let me choose—a very soft natural color palette with lots of sage, lavender and mauve," says Kelli. "It came together with a 'Midsummer Night’s Dream' vibe combined with rustic and vintage accents." Lush succulent, moss, mixed rose and delphinium arrangements added to the romantic feel while the barefoot bride and bridal party enhanced the organic ambiance. "We put a lot of effort into making our wedding day a little more unique," says Kelli. "Instead of a guest book, we had a custom wood board made for our guests to sign, and now we get to walk by it every day to be reminded of all the support in our lives!"
