An Elegant Yacht Wedding on Cloud Nine Yacht in New York, New York

Eric, 49, and Kiel, 36, met at a super bowl party in 2005. "We'd been together for years before we actually decided to get married. We filed for domestic partnership in 2012," Kiel explains. "A year within our partnership I was in the laundry room of the house taking clothes out of the washing machine when Eric came down stairs and got down on one knee to propose! I thought he was joking that night until a week later, when he took me to get my engagement ring." The two decided to go with a water wedding aboard Cloud Nine Yacht in Manhattan. "We didn't want to do a church or a hall," Kiel says, "So we thought about the idea of a yacht. We are always taking cruises -- enjoying the people and the islands -- so by luck we found a yacht in NYC that was available for the summer of 2014. We are both from New York City, so it was only fitting to get married there." It was a memorable party on the water, exactly what the couple hoped for!
