An Elegant Winter Wedding at Portsmouth Harbor Events & Conference Center in Portsmouth, New Hampshire

Even though Meghan Bartels (33, an Account Manager) and Matt Fitts (38, a VP of Business Development) both live in Boston, they wanted to hold their wedding in downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire. "Portsmouth has always been a special place for the two of us--I went to college nearby at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, and Matt's parents live in nearby New Castle," Meghan explains. The couple held their ceremony at Portsmouth's North Church in the square, which was just a walk away from their reception site at the Portsmouth Harbor Events and Conference Center. The theme for the wedding was inspired by the winter season, and a color palette of silver, white and light pink helped bring out the soft elegance of the decor. Winter touches like snow covered pinecones at the place settings, silver bird ornaments and a signature candy cane cocktail martini added to the winter wonderland feeling of the wedding.
