An Elegant Wedding at Monmouth Beach Bath and Tennis Club in Monmouth Beach, New Jersey

Kate Schwartz (26 and a VP of communication) and Matthew Early (27 and a hotel manager) met when Kate was working as a bartender at their college pizzeria. "He walked me home from a party, I took him to a sorority party the next day, and the rest is history!" Kate says. "Matt proposed to me on my birthdya after he had secretly secured my parents' permission and my grandmother's heirloom ring to propose. So sweet." For their wedding at Monmouth Beach Bath and Tennis Club in Monmouth Beach, New Jersey, the pair wanted to keep everything simple. "We used white hydrangeas throughout in vintage gold vases -- the whole thing was very Gatsby, including the table names and name cards. The venue had a vintage vibe and we ran with that throughout." Kate and Matt exchanged vows at Christ Episcopal Church in Shewsbury, NJ, which was built in 1702. Despite being destroyed during hurricane Sandy, their reception space at Monmouth Beach Bath and Tennis Club was rebuilt and ready a month before the wedding. "We had the most beautiful September weather and beach fireworks to end the night," Kate says.
