An Elegant Wedding at Galvez Restaurant in New Orleans, Louisiana
Jaclyn Ayres (27 and an account executive) wasn’t the type to plan her wedding while growing up, but as soon as she and Ben Gorman (33 and a general manager) saw Galvez Restaurant in New Orleans, Louisiana, they had to have it. “I knew that I wanted a wedding downtown because my family is not from New Orleans, so I wanted them to enjoy the city,” Jaclyn says. “Galvez ended up being the perfect New Orleans location.” Loving the simplicity and elegance of their black-and-white venue, they added a gold hue to the color scheme. Everything from the aisle decor to the centerpieces to the cake was as good as gold! With the help of Firefly Ambiance, Jaclyn and Ben used plenty of candlelight for a romantic aura. The best part, though, was how they embraced the local culture. To Be Continued Brass Band led a second line (complete with feather-adorned parasols) into the reception. To take the party home with them, guests were given mini king cakes (a New Orleans Mardi Gras tradition). Check out all these details and more, shot by Brian Jarreau Photography, below.
