An Elegant Waterfront Wedding at Whitehall Inn in Camden, Maine

After a romantic engagement in the park, Sydney Solow (32, a Registered Nurse) and Kevin Kotredes (28, a Student) started planning their 2012 wedding. However, during the planning, Sydney was diagnosed with breast cancer and the couple decided to push back their wedding two years to allow Sydney time to fight and recover. Sydney says the diagnosis put a lot of little things into perspective: "We understood that the wedding was not about all of the details, but about our marriage." The couple let the theme for their wedding unfold naturally as the day approached: a classic, old-timey feel that was inspired by their Camden, Maine location. "The day was filled with so much love and celebration. All the people invited had helped or supported us in some way during the previous year while Kevin and I dealt with treatment and surgeries for my breast cancer. The day was more than a wedding, it was a celebration of life," Sydney says.
