An Elegant, Vintage-Inspired Wedding at Twin Oaks House & Garden Estate in San Marcos, California

This vintage-inspired wedding looked like it came straight out of a storybook, thanks to whimsical and crafty elements that decorated the mansion and surrounding grounds at Twin Oaks House & Garden Estate in San Marcos, California. Bree Jourdan (28 and a scientific writer) and Nash Galster (29 and a paramedic) fell in love with the venue when they first visited the site because of its “wonder, whimsy and vintage charm,” according to the couple. Bree’s love for old-Hollywood flair was embodied within her fitted lace wedding dress, accented with sparkly gems on the neckline and midsection that complemented the vintage theme. The couple got married outside at a classic gazebo decorated in garlands of ivory anemones and roses, which were also incorporated into the flower arrangements hanging in the aisle, all designed by Jerri Disney Florals. The reception took place inside the mansion, where simple white dining tables had numbers on white stationery propped up on vintage books, captured by Dapper Images. Guests enjoyed a classic three-course meal on vintage china plates with flower designs, including the Viennese chocolate and lemon-flavored cake decorated with buttercream frosting and topped with two bird figurines depicting a bride and groom. One of our favorite whimsical details was the white iron-lantern centerpieces filled with ivory roses and anemones accented with green leaves. “You can never start planning early enough,” Bree says. “Make sure to do your research and hire top-notch vendors, particularly the photographers, the florist and the DJ. Thanks to the choices we made, our wedding was absolutely perfect.”
