An Elegant, Vintage-Inspired Wedding at Spanish Oaks Ranch in Santa Margarita, California
Toi-Lyn Everhart (30 and an event planner) and Greg Everhart (31 and a high school teacher) envisioned having their elegant wedding with a vintage twist along the central California coast, where they once took a romantic road trip together. The rustic event space surrounded by the woodland at Spanish Oaks Ranch in Santa Margarita, California, served as the perfect spot. Kraft-paper wedding invitations that welcomed everyone to the occasion gave a sneak preview of the purple and gray palette, along with the day's vintage style seen through the mason jar designs. Toi-Lyn made their wedding vision come to life through touches of burlap and lace—from glass mason jars wrapped with lace and burlap that decorated tabletops to the ivory cake with lace designs propped up on a burlap-wrapped stand—blending nicely with Spanish Oaks Ranch's rustic elements. A long white-covered dining table seated the entire wedding party for the indoor-outdoor reception, draped in a string of burlap flags that read "Mr. & Mrs." where Toi-Lyn and Greg sat. Guests wrote personal messages on Jenga pieces that reflected Toi-Lyn and Greg's love for playing games, which also showed through the personalized cornhole setups. All the details were filled with charm, but we absolutely loved the jars filled with sweet honey given out as favors for guests to remember the extra-sweet day; thank-you messages on the lid added a personal touch.
