An Elegant Vineyard Wedding at the Corazon Club in Dublin, Ohio
Priscilla Johnson (23, a professional graphic designer and event planner) and Jesse Johnson (23 and a vintage jewelry store owner) met in high school. ?Jesse proposed to Priscilla on a hike in Yellowstone National Park, on their annual summer vacation in Wyoming. "I was taking a picture of the stunning view of the canyons, and when I put the camera down and turned around, Jesse was on one knee with a blue box in his hand," Priscilla says. She was so excited she said yes before Jesse could open the ring box.?The couple chose to have their ceremony and reception at the Corazon Club, a tuscan-style mansion and vineyard in Dublin, Ohio. They chose this stunning venue because the picturesque vineyard had the feel of an exotic destination wedding but was within their budget. "We had played with the idea of having a small destination wedding, but we couldn't with our budget," Priscilla says. " The minute we pulled up to Corazon Club it felt like we were worlds away."Priscilla and Jesse's color palette was inspired by vibrant peacock feathers, but they also wanted to incorporate fresh bursts of bright green and white to keep their theme from becoming visually overwhelming. They used centerpieces with lots of calla lilies, hypericum berries, hydrangea and spider mums. In the true spirit of DIY, they made all of the floral arrangements themselves through a local warehouse that helped order and source the raw materials. Priscilla also designed their invitations herself through supplies from Cards and Pockets. She created a wedding logo the bride and groom used on the invitations, escort cards and programs. To play up the vineyard theme, they offered top shelf wine at their buffet style reception and incorporated wine bottles into the table decor.Priscilla's brother performed their ceremony ?with the rest of their families in the front row, ?including Priscilla's mother, who passed away shortly after the wedding. ?"That was the last day most of our friends and family got to see her," Priscilla says. "She ate, drank and danced all night. So many precious memories were shared by loved ones that day."
