An Elegant, Urban Wedding at City Winery in Chicago, Illinois

It's not often that you see a winery wedding with urban flair. Jenna Swartz (34 and a lawyer) and David Wachs (37 and an entrepreneur) had their modern, luxurious wedding at City Winery in Chicago. The industrial look of this downtown venue was perfect for their elegant occasion, which was photographed by Gerber Scarpelli Photography. Floral designs consisted of simple arrangements of blush roses, ivory garden roses, white hydrangeas and white stock flowers, which made up the bouquets, adorned the chuppah at the outdoor reception and decorated the dining tables at the reception. "We wanted it to look elegant and whimsical," Jenna says. "We asked Lee at Scarlet Petal to use as many candles as possible and to incorporate branches and lots of flowers and some mirrored elements." The hall was illuminated with string lights and floating candles on the tall, glass candle holders that made up the centerpieces. Since Jenna is from Canada and David is from America, the couple gave Canadian and American themed macarons to their guests as favors. Jenna and David's beautiful summer wedding was planned in just a couple of months. "It doesn't take a year to plan a wedding," Jenna says. "We were going crazy by the end of two months."
