An Elegant, Traditional Wedding at Dallas Marriott in Dallas, Texas

The wedding of Betsy Mullappallil (27 and a respiratory therapist) and Shijo Mullappallil (35 and a lawyer) blended Catholic traditions with their Indian heritage to create a vibrant, sophisticated fete. The day began at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, where Betsy wore a classic beaded mermaid-style wedding dress and Shijo donned a tuxedo. For their reception at Dallas Marriott in Dallas, Texas, Betsy swapped her gown for an eye-catching coral and gold lengha with traditional kundan jewelry, and Shijo changed his tie to match the vibrant colors. During cocktail hour, guests snacked on selections including samosas and gelato while participating in a guessing game of famous movie couples (with Betsy and Shijo’s faces over the characters’). The reception at Dallas Marriott brought glam to a new level with draping and red uplighting everywhere and over-the-top white centerpieces dripping with crystals. Bebe’s Decor created bold yellow and white floral arrangements to accent the space, and DJTM kept the party going late into the night, just as Betsy and Shijo envisioned. The focal point of the party was definitely the five-tier wedding cake by Delicious Cakes full of sparkles and intricate details—this display was impossible to ignore.
