An Elegant, Timeless Wedding at Public in New York City

Nicole Greene (28, a teacher) met David Buffa (30, an attorney) on their very first day of law school when he chose to take the seat next to her in class. After about a year of friendship, they finally went on their first date to Tia Pol, a tapas restaurant in Manhattan. "He ate about a dozen deviled eggs that night and I still dated him after that," recalls Nicole. One thing led to another, and by the time they finished law school they were renting an apartment in Brooklyn Heights and sharing a puppy named Millie. "If you can live happily together, with a puppy, in a 400 square foot apartment, you are probably made for each other!" Nicole jokes. After a proposal on the High Line (followed by dinner at Tia Pol!) they began to plan their wedding. Both native New Yorkers, they decided on the cozy SoHo restaurant, Public, for their easy-going, elegant affair. Natural greenery rounded out vibrant shades of pink and purple while plenty of candlelight created an intimate air of romance for their classic wedding day.
