An Elegant Timeless Wedding at Greenville Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware
In the church where the bride had had her confirmation years before, Lea Fosbenner (25 and a business analyst) and Josip Kasic (27 and a server administrator) said “I do” surrounded by family and friends and clusters of blush and white hydrangeas and blush, cream and champagne roses. To honor Josip’s heritage, many Croatian traditions, including a reading in Croatian and guests receiving fresh rosemary corsages upon entering the church, were part of the ceremony. The favors were heart-shaped colorfully decorated cakes made from honey dough, which were shipped from Croatia for the occasion. At the reception, at Greenville Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware, a tented canopy inside the venue’s gardens emulated the lush green setting outside the tent. Florist Sweet Peas of Jennersville in West Grove, Pennsylvania, arranged greens at the top of the tentpoles. “An important focal point for the decor was a beautiful arrangement of weeping greens and crystals that was installed by the florist above the dance floor,” Lea says. “We wanted the floral arrangements inside the tent to be as beautiful as the gardens and grounds outside it.” —Allie Volpe
