An Elegant Summer Wedding at Fox Hill Event Center in Cadillac, Michigan

Brent Teunis, 29, a head golf professional, wed his bride Caroline Teunis, 26, a grad student, in an elegant summer wedding in Cadillac, Michigan. The couple first met at a bar in Savannah, Georgia, while in town for two different weddings. After forming a bond through text messages and phone calls, the couple began dating, with Caroline eventually moving to California to be with Brent. They chose the Fox Hill Event Center as the venue for their special day because they wanted to have an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. "The outdoors was just absolutely stunning and the inside had a great, open layout, lots of natural light and cute chandelier lights hanging from the ceiling," the bride says. "It was the perfect balance of elegant and easy-going for a summer wedding." A color palette of coral, gray and white was used for the invitations and decor. Pearls were also heavily featured throughout the day in everything from the bridal jewelry to the reception centerpieces. Guests were treated to a buffet style dinner of char-grilled steak and sauteed chicken. Sides included fresh-baked bread, smashed redskins with chives and roasted cauliflower with rosemary butter. "We were told on multiple occasions (and we agree!) it was the best wedding food they've ever had!" Caroline says. Following a night of dancing, Brent surprised Caroline with a horse-drawn carriage to take them away in a picture-perfect ending to the day.
