An Elegant Springtime Wedding at Hidden Springs in Aubrey, Texas
The sophisticated springtime wedding of Kaci Johnson (26 and a teacher) and Cody Johnson (28 and a cable park manager) was the perfect blend of elegance and shabby chic. The couple lucked out on their venue, Hidden Springs in Aubrey, Texas, which they scored due to a cancellation that freed up the perfect Saturday for their celebration. “I am so glad we went with it,” the bride says. “It was so beautiful.” Kaci looked regal in a lace illusion-neckline Mori Lee wedding dress with a chapel train that one of her friends altered. “My wedding dress was beautiful and exactly what I had in mind!” she says. The rest of the wedding was decorated in pastel peach and mint hues, with gold and silver to accent. The wedding cake, made by one of the bride's coworkers, was the ultimate representation of the theme: It featured four tiers covered in a shimmery lace motif, with gold accents, fresh flowers and succulents to make the pattern pop. The flavors were special too: Kaci and Cody couldn’t decide on just one, so they had an ombre flavor pattern of red velvet, strawberry and white almond. “Our wedding cake was to die for!” Kaci says.
