An Elegant, Skyline Wedding at Ultimate Skybox in San Diego, California

Katy Dwyer (34, a marriage and family therapist) and Mike Hoslar (33, an information technology consultant) met at a dive bar outside the Petco Park baseball stadium in downtown San Diego, California. They were both waiting on friends to arrive, but as Katy and Mike made small talk, they realized they had a lot in common. Katy and Mike lived just four blocks away from each other in San Diego, so they started hanging out and exploring the local area together, falling in love as a result. One night, the couple decided to walk over to Embarcadero Marina in the downtown area, found a spot on a couple of rocks and watched the sunset. Just as the sun went down, Mike dropped down on one knee and asked Katy for her hand in marriage. The wedding was held at Ultimate Skybox in downtown San Diego, just outside the Petco Park baseball stadium and across the street from where they used to live. Since the small wedding party was made up of the maid of honor and best man, the couple was able to keep the wedding attire simple like they had wanted. Touches of blue were seen throughout the wedding day fashions, hydrangea flower arrangements and the reception dining table decor. The couple decided to have no assigned seating, so guests could freely wander and mingle with everyone. “The set up allowed our guests to meet others they didn't know previously, and it really just felt like one big party,” says Katy.
