An Elegant, Rustic Wedding at Woodland Meadow Farms in Snohomish, Washington

When Melissa DeVries (27 and a wedding planner) and Anthony Heath (24 and a server) settled on having a natural summer wedding, having it at an outdoor venue was a must. "Within two minutes of our tour at Woodland Meadow Farms in Snohomish, Washington, we both knew it was our venue," Melissa says. "The property has beautiful green trees, so much space and a lot of natural beauty." Melissa and Anthony didn't want a specific theme, but instead decorated the venue with elements that fit their personalities and style—from the DIY heart-shaped wine-cork decor to the bridal bouquet filled with white flowers. The bridesmaids wore nude-colored dresses while the groomsmen wore brown bow ties with matching pants, suiting the neutral palette that accented the day's decor. Since Melissa and Anthony didn't want a traditional wedding cake, their cousin baked a naked vanilla cake layered with berry coulis filling, topped with fresh flowers and fruit. We loved the originality of their flavored salt bar, which guests took home samples of as wedding favors. "I love cooking and Anthony loves eating what I cook, so I decided to make flavored salts for our favors," Melissa says. "I made sriracha salt, from my favorite hot sauce, and ranch-flavored salt, from Anthony's favorite condiment."
