For Paige Lofton and Semarr Patrick, good food, great music and beautiful scenery were essentials for their summer nuptials. After coming across The Springs in Katy, a Tuscan-style venue with a hint of Texan flair, the rest of the details effortlessly fell into place. A subtle vineyard theme—a nod to Paige and Semarr’s love of wine—inspired many of the day’s details, from DIY wine bottle centerpieces to wine cork escort card holders and wine barrel accents. Homemade pies, natural wood décor, mason jars and chalkboard signage instilled a comforting country feel to the day. The couple also incorporated elements from their own home for an extra-personalized touch, including various picture frames and photographs. “We tried to sprinkle our personalities into our already breathtaking venue—always complementing, never detracting from it,” Paige says. The ceremony was held under the open-air pavilion, surrounded by perfectly manicured gardens and a cascading fountain. After exchanging vows they’d written themselves, the couple invited guests to join them on the lawn for spiked blueberry sweet tea and blackberry whiskey lemonade cocktails. Dinner and dancing took place in Tuscany Hall, where the newlyweds and their families and friends sat down to a dinner of decadent Cajun fare. Blue uplighting and custom gobo lighting illuminated the room, getting everyone in the mood to let loose.
