An Elegant, Rustic Wedding at Summerour Studio in Atlanta, Georgia

For New Yorkers Rachel Cook and Robert Northway, celebrating their wedding in the heart Rachel’s hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, was a must. Summerour Studio won them over with its Italian villa-style courtyard and the rustic main hall finished with tall wooden ceilings and metal beams. It was here that Rachel, donning an ultra-elegant Christina Rossi dress, walked down a handcrafted wooden staircase (modeled after one by Michelangelo!) to meet Rob at the altar. After a unity candle ceremony together with their mothers, Rachel and Rob joined their guests in the ivy-covered courtyard for a cocktail hour, while Simply Charming Socials transformed the room for their reception. Bold American Events provided bundles of baby’s breath to soften the ambience. An abundance of candles and a canopy of string lights created a soft glow in the room, echoed by the backdrop of city lights shining through the oversize windows around the room. DJ Dre 1800 revved up the dancing with oldies including Earth, Wind & Fire, James Brown and Michael Jackson. But it was the wedding cake cutting that brought on one of the night's biggest surprises: After Rachel and Rob tasted their vanilla buttercream confection, they brought out one more to celebrate Rachel’s mom’s birthday. Rachel Red Photography was on hand to capture all the sweet moments, below.
