An Elegant Rustic Wedding at Cochrane RancheHouse in Cochrane, Alberta

Jennifer Sawatzky (27, a Geophysicist) and Eric Holley (30, an Engineer) wanted a rustic, elegant wedding, surrounded by natural beauty. They decided to hold their wedding in Calgary, Alberta, at the Cochrane Ranchehouse, which has beautiful views of the Canadian Rockies and a gorgeous wooden beam reception hall which fit perfectly with the elegant, rustic theme of the wedding. A color palette of cream and green with small pops of pink complemented the natural beauty of their surroundings. The couple's wedding was filled with fun, personal elements: bocce ball and ladder toss lawn games during the cocktail hour, handmade kites that guests were invited to sign, and gummy bear favors shipped from Eric's hometown in Indiana. "We tried to incorporate things that we love into our wedding day so that our guests could get a good understanding of who we are as a couple," Jennifer says.
