An Elegant, Romantic Wedding at Lost Mission in Spring Branch, Texas

Lauren Klein (27 and a medical resident) and Michael Ritchie (27 and a medical resident) fell in love and got engaged in the Texas Hill Country, so they knew they wanted to get married there too. Lost Mission in Spring Branch, Texas, was the first venue they visited, and they fell in love with the chapel, which looked like a rustic Spanish mission, and the romantic reception hall down the hill, settled next to a pond and lit by string lights. “Without a single decoration, this is hands down one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen,” Lauren says. Her blush Pronovias dress (the first dress she tried on) influenced the wedding's romantic style and palette. Sweet Thymes Floral designed a gorgeous, hand-tied cascading bouquet for Lauren and her bridesmaids, as well as wild centerpieces full of flowers that fit the natural Hill Country beauty. So much of Lauren and Michael’s wedding was centered on family and friends, but one moment that stood out was Michael’s mother-son dance. Since his mother had died, his sister danced with him to his mother’s favorite song, followed by all his aunts and cousins joining him on the dance floor to a rowdy rendition of “We Are Family.” See the sweet details below, captured by the talented AJH Photography.
