An Elegant Purple Wedding at Glenview Mansion in Rockville, Maryland

Although Kamaria Cayton (29 and a physician) and Jason Vaught's (32 and a physician) wedding was the definition of elegance, they weren't afraid to have fun with it. For their wedding at Glenview Mansion, they chose a vibrant color palette of purple, fuchsia and ivory to highlight their glamorous details. The tent where they held their reception was illuminated by purple uplighting, which coordinated with their alternating tall and short centerpieces of purple stock, fuchsia roses, white orchids, white hydrangeas and viburnum. Similar flower arrangements lined the aisle at the ballroom ceremony. Kamaria carried a stunning bouquet of purple picasso calla lilies, fuchsia chrysanthemums, fuchsia orchids and violet anemones, and Jason and his groomsmen wore matching purple calla lily boutonnieres. The wedding's stunning floral design was created by Da Vinci Florist. In addition to the fun color palette and flower arrangements, Kamaria and Jason made sure their guests had tons of fun at the reception. They had an amazing variety of foods—with everything from samosas to flat-iron steak with chimichurri sauce—catered by Savory Gourmet. They also had an open bar and hired DJ Max Powers for the night. "My favorite part of the reception was when the wedding party entered into the wedding tent," Kamaria says. "Our bridal party was wild, free and not afraid to have fun." Eli Turner Studios was there to capture all the details.
