An Elegant Pink and White Ballroom Wedding at Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego in San Diego, California
The glamour of the luxury hotel’s ballroom combined with a neutral color palette of light pink, white and gold created the elegant style the couple had envisioned for their wedding day. Valerie Ang-Vong (28 and a project analyst) and James Harrison (29 and a global supply manager) were sold on the jaw-dropping views and beautiful interior the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego had to offer. The couple had their ceremony on a raised platform outside on the terrace and said their vows at an archway draped in white linens and topped with white hydrangeas, roses and orchids, beautifully arranged by Suzan M Florals. Following the ceremony was the reception in the ballroom, where gold escort cards led guests to their assigned table marked with matching gold number cards. Pastel-colored arrangements of hydrangeas, roses and orchids surrounded tall silver candleholders decorating the middle of the tables, captured on camera by Tim Otto Photography. What we found really tied the elegant theme together was the wedding day attire—specifically the bride’s gorgeous gown. Valerie wore an Alvina Valenta ivory wedding dress completely covered in lace, with straps accented in beaded fabric flowers that trailed down the back. “The best advice I could give any couple planning a wedding is to always put each other first,” Valerie says. “Do not let little things bother you or derail the happiness and love that a wedding is all about. Take your time, prioritize together and take in every moment the day of the wedding—it goes by fast.”
