An Elegant, New Orleans-Inspired Wedding at Latrobe's on Royal in New Orleans, Louisiana
Throwing an epic party was Tiffany Ballenger (32 and a lawyer) and Todd Floyd’s (40 and in real estate) goal for their wedding celebration, so it was no surprise that they held it in New Orleans, their favorite US city. "Although neither of us is from New Orleans, we chose it as our destination wedding spot for a million reasons—the amazing culture dripping with French influence, the art, the food, the history and most important, we’d get to have a parade!” Tiffany says. From the custom invitations to dessert, they embraced every part of the city. An elegant color scheme of ivory, champagne, black and white was chosen to highlight Latrobe’s on Royal for their ceremony. Only black chairs topped with custom fleur-de-lis handkerchiefs were used to decorate the space. After the couple said "I do," Kinfolk Brass Band led everyone on a traditional second line parade through the French Quarter. An chic reception designed by All About Events greeted them once they returned. Of course, the entire menu was filled with local favorites, including fresh Gulf oysters, andouille gumbo and king cake cupcakes.
